Watch: Pakistan fan's hilarious request to Kane Williamson ahead of Champions Trophy 2025

New Zealand's icon batter Kane Williamson recently had a funny encounter with a Pakistani fan ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. As New Zealand prepares for the prestigious tournament with a tri-series against Pakistan and South Africa, a passionate Pakistani supporter requested Williamson to refrain from scoring runs against Pakistan but to go all out against India. 

The BlackCaps arrived in Pakistan Wednesday for a tri-series featuring the hosts and South Africa as part of their preparations for the Champions Trophy. The tournament, which is set to begin on February 19, 2025, will see Pakistan, New Zealand, India, and Bangladesh competing in Group A.

Williamson will be playing ODI cricket for the first time since New Zealand’s semi-final exit in the 2023 ODI World Cup. In the exchange, a passionate fan approached Williamson and made a hilarious request. "Please don’t score runs against Pakistan, but hit a century against India," he said.
