Australian cricketer and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain, Pat Cummins, was recently captured playing an impromptu game of cricket with children at a government school in Hyderabad. The footage quickly went viral and gained a lot of praise from the fans across for the star cricketer.
In the middle of the intense season of IPL, Cummins found time to connect with the local community, visiting a Zilla Parishad government school in Hyderabad. There, he was greeted by the infectious energy of school children, donned in their crisp uniforms. The world-class athlete was seen with a cricket bat in his hand, facing down the delivery bowled by one of the students.

SRH to face PBKS in their next game
Talking about SRH, the side has had a remarkable IPL 2024 season, securing one of the four coveted spots in the playoffs under Cummins' leadership. The 2016 champions have 15 points from 13 matches, including seven wins and five losses in the IPL 2024 so far. The skipper himself has been instrumental in their success, claiming 14 wickets across 12 outings.Hyderabad's last match against Gujarat Titans (GT) was washed out due to rain, due to which both the teams were given one point each.
With that, the Hyderabad-based franchise entered the playoffs with the help of 15 points. Now Hyderabad team will be seen playing with Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their last league match on Sunday.The 2016 champions, who are currently third on the table, are aiming to secure one of the top two spots. Rajasthan Royals, currently occupying the second position, have one game remaining. If they lose their last league match and SRH defeat Punjab, they will move up the ladder and face Kolkata Knight Riders in Qualifier 1 on May 21.
