Gaddafi Stadium's majestic makeover ahead of tournaments
The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore has undergrone a majestic makeover ahead of the Pakistan Tri-Nation Series and Champions Trophy 2025. The Pakistan Cricket Board released a short clip showcasing the venue under lights, shining in full glory ahead of the multi-team white-ball tournaments in February and March 2025.
Reports question PCB's readiness for ICC Tournaments
Interstingly, this comes days after reports suggested that it may be "absolutely impossible" for the Pakistan Cricket Board to get the venues functional for the ICC tournament in time. A report from the Dawn also raised questions regarding the nation's readiness for the events to follow.
“It seems absolutely impossible to contemplate the renovation work being completed within the deadline, but the personnel handed the responsibility are beaming with confidence,” the Dawn had reported.

Pakistan Cricket Board faces pressure to meet renovation deadline
For the unversed, the administrative body has invested quite heavily (PKR 12 billion) in the renovation of the venues. However, the board seems to remain under considerable pressure as the deadline for the completion of the renovation work (Janaury 31) hovers on the edge.
Heavy investment for a World-Class cricket experience
"Look, the stadiums will be in a shape to host matches but the question is the PCB has promised everyone a world-class experience at these renovated venues for the Tri-Series and the Champions Trophy and whether they can deliver on that promise remains to be seen," stated a source who is following the construction work.

Tickets for Tri-Nation series & Champions Trophy already on sale
The tickets for the games to be played at the venues have been rolled out on sale already. This is understood to have increased doubts until the PCB formally announces that it has complete possession of the freshly-renovated stadiums.
Hosts Pakistan, New Zealand and South Africa set to face off
Pakistan will host New Zealand and South Africa in the Tri-Nation series, before the three sides take part in the eight-nation Champions Trophy.
