Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) player Philip Salt delivered an acrobatic effort on the field, saving five runs for his side in the process. It was an incredible effort from the Englishman during a tricky period for the Bengaluru franchise, who were struggling to stop the run flow.

The Royal battle witnessed a mix of some brilliant and poor fielding. Though there were some shocking dropped catches, there were also some moments of brilliance on the field. One of the best efforts was from RCB star opener Philip Salt in the first innings of the game in the 13th over bowled by RCB spin bowling all-rounder Krunal Pandya. This was perhaps one of the best fielding efforts in the tournament by Salt, in line with his terrific fielding prowess in the game against Mumbai Indians which resulted in the dismissal of Deepak Chahar.

The batter was Yashasvi Jaiswal in this game, who was playing another remarkable knock. Jaiswal went for a slog off Pandya’s bowling, which looked like was going for a six, but Salt leaped up in the air like a superhero and saved five runs for his side in the end. Though there was a moment when the fans and experts thought that he could have completed the catch in the end it is an effort that must be appreciated at first.

Salt rocks with a fantastic 65

Salt's heroics were not over after he was done fielding. He continued his usual assault at the top. The RCB had a target of 174 to chase down and Salt made sure his team got off to a great start. Salt brought up his half century in 28 deliveries and received perfect support from Virat Kohli from the other end.

He ended up scoring 65 runs off 33 balls, hitting five fours and six sixes. RCB won the game comfortably with nine wickets and 2.3 overs left.
