Meanwhile, the cricket experts continued to discuss the what ifs and buts of the game which also included the former India cricketer and renowned commentator, Ravi Shastri.

During the discussion, former Australia players Brendon Julian and Kerry O’Keeffe aka Skull, got involved in a banter regarding the viral “ice cream fan” incident, which took place in Bangalore, when India played against New Zealand at home in a Test series. Interestingly, Shastri was shown the clip of the ice cream boy for whom he did not shy away from coming up with his epic hilarious commentary, saw two Australian twins and popular video creators, Shepmates, showing their lip sync shenanigans on his commentary while playing the viral clip.

Interestingly, the moment was caught on the cameras and this triggered Ravi Shastri to take over the charge in the commentary box to describe the act of the fan. Not just that, he also went on to call him a ‘big unit’ and, this time came up with another gem. Known for his impeccable wit and humour, Shastri pounced on the chance to entertain the crowd and his fans in a flash, recalling the incident for Julian and Skull, who is also known for his terrific humour. Recalling the classic “ice cream boy” moment from the Bangalore Test, this time, Shastri went a notch up while narrating the incident and added that the big fan would have required ‘three chairs’ to sit.

“This was in Bangalore, he is a big unit, you know. He could take three chairs, sitting. It was hot and he was tucking in,” Shastri told his panel mates recalling the incident during the post-match discussion.

For the unversed, the “ice cream boy” incident took place during the first India versus New Zealand Test, which was held at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, in Bengaluru. Commentator Ravi Shastri was teaming up with the legendary Sunil Gavaskar and spotted the fan who was quietly enjoying the ice cream under the sultry hot sun. During a mid-over break, a boy was seen trying to eat the ice cream cone while hiding it at the same time.

His fellow partner on air, Sunil Gavaskar, hilariously pointed out to Shastri that the boy was trying to hide his ice cream as the family may have instructed to not to munch on ice cream. But Shastri was on fire and did not hold from coming up with his witty remarks.

"Oh! There he goes. Out comes that cone. The ice cream disappeared, and it's only the cone left. He's tucking into it pretty quickly!"

Notably, during that Test India were bowled out for 46 runs in their first innings but made a remarkable comeback on the back of Sarfaraz Khan’s 150-run knock. Meanwhile, after the series remains levelled at 1-1 in Brisbane, the caravan will move ahead to Melbourne, as the coveted ‘Boxing Day” Test will kick off on December 26.
