The southpaw was accompanied by the KKR batting coach, Abhishek Nayar and he presented the KKR cap to the boy. He even signed the cap for the boy and apologized for the incident. His performance in IPL 2023 not only made him a household name but also paved the way for an India call-up. He has been sensational in the blues as well, as he has amassed 356 runs from 15 games. He has an impressive strike rate of 176 and averages 89, with two half-centuries to his name. He has proved his mettle in foreign conditions as well, and his unhinged approach in the South African pitches grabbed everyone's eyes.
Rinku Singh eyes berth in T20 World Cup squad
Rinku is expected to be featured in India’s T20I squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, which is going to commence in June. Owing to India’s relentless pursuit of a finisher in T20Is, after the lackluster outing in the previous outing, Rinku might get a go-ahead for a ticket to Barbados. As the IPL 2024 is on the cards, the focus will shift to the marquee event post-May. If the 26-year-old continues his exploits in IPL 2024, he could be a sure-shot contender.
