WATCH: Rishabh Pant plays fearless scoop off Mohammed Siraj in LSG vs GT match
Rishabh Pant scored 21 off 18 deliveries as he failed to convert his start into a big score.
The LSG vs GT match witnessed an inventive shot by Rishabh Pant. The LSG skipper showed glimpses of his fearless batting in the game in his short stay at the crease. This was one of the rare moments of the season where we finally saw the left-handed wicketkeeper-batter trust his natural game.
There is a lot of hype around Rishabh Pant as he is the most expensive player in IPL history, being bought for a whopping INR 27 crore in the auction. However, his form in this tournament has not been the best so far. Pant got a bit of a start in the match, scoring 21 off 18 deliveries, but could not convert that into something special.
The 2024 T20 World Champion had played one of his iconic shots against Mohammed Siraj in the powerplay by scooping the ball over the keeperβs head. Though it was not one of his best-timed shots he still managed to get the required result. Jos Buttler also dived towards the delivery to catch it but in the end he could not get to the ball and it eventually found the boundary rope.

What is going on in the match?
Despite the LSG skipper failing to convert the start into a big innings, the team is currently in a great position, where after the dismissal of Pant, Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran have got the team in a brilliant position to win the game.
The current score as of writing is 146-2 after 14 overs. LSG need just 35 runs from 36 deliveries to win the game with Pooran unbeaten on a half century and young batter Ayush Badoni batting alongside him. This match seems to be going in LSGβs direction, and they should chase down this score easily.
