Skipper Rohit Sharma recently had a fun interaction with a supporter after India's practice session ahead of the second Test against New Zealand at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune.

A fangirl requested an autograph from the Indian skipper and asked him for a special request. "Rohit bhai, please give an autograph," the fan yelled. Rohit responded, "I'm coming, wait." After receiving the autograph, the fan asked the 37-year-old to convey her regards to star batter Virat Kohli, "Tell Virat also that his big fan came here." The skipper replied with a smile, "I'll tell Virat."

New Zealand 1-0 up in three-match series

Meanwhile, the hosts are looking to bounce back from their disappointing loss in the first Test at Bengaluru, where they were bundled out for just 46 runs in their first innings. Despite a fightback in the second innings, the Kiwis secured an eight-wicket victory and went 1-0 up in the series.

Shubman Gill is likely to return to the side after recovering from a stiff neck that kept him out of the opening Test. However, his replacement, Sarfaraz Khan, made a strong case with a brilliant 150, leaving the management in a tough selection dilemma ahead of the second Test. It is likely that Sarfaraz willbe retained, with Gill expected to come in at KL Rahul's expense.

Meanwhile, unlike Bengaluru's overcast weather, Pune is expected to be warmer with temperatures hovering in the early 30s and the pitch expected to assist spinners from the day one. The second Test commences from October 24.
