WATCH: Shan Masood gets pinned in front by peach of delivery by Mehidy Hasan Miraz, squanders review
Bangladesh had opted to field first after winning the toss after Day 1 of the second Test was washed out due to incessant rain.
Just as it seemed that Pakistan were in total control of proceedings on Day 2 of the second Test against Bangladesh after a wicket in the very first over of the match saw the hosts staring down the barrel with regards to yet another top-order collapse, it was Mehidy Hasan Miraz who struck for the second time for the visitors in the third over of the second session.
Masood, batting on 57 off 68 deliveries with two boundaries to his name, had mainly relied on rotating the strike throughout his knock in which he brought up his 10th fifty in the format. A good length delivery pitched on the middle-leg stump channel seemed as if it would drift into the batter's pads, as he had already made up his mind to tuck the ball, trying to steal a single. However, the delivery turned just a hint to miss the outside edge of Masood's willow, catching him in line of the wicket.
It didn't seem as if Masood contemplated the decision on-field or the non-striker Saim Ayub's words as the skipper straight away challenged umpire Richard Kettleborough's original decision. However, all Masood was left to do moments later was a long and disappointing walk back to the pavilion after the DRS showed the UltraEdge showing a flat line, followed by three reds on the ball-tracking mechanism.

At the time of writing, Bangladesh managed to scalp a couple of wickets more, as the well-set Ayub got himself stumped after carelessly dancing down the track in an attempt to clear the infield, followed by Saud Shakeel chopping on a back-of-a-length delivery around the fifth stump line after being cramped for space.
