The 2024-25 edition of the ISL is all set to commence on September 13, 2024, with a fiery-hot encounter between last season's finalists, Mohan Bagan and Mumbai City. The Indian Super League can quite easily be likened to the Indian Premier League for ardent football fans across India, in terms of both the model as well as the craze it stirs within the country.
Much like the IPL, the ISL is well-acclaimed for its marketing campaigns as well as the teasers they upload on social media. This time around, the commercial features a blend of past and current footballers, a few Olympians who represented the nation in the recently-concluded Paris Olympics, and a few Bollywood actors who are owners of the participating teams.
The advertisement also features former India head coach Ravi Shastri and current superstars of the Indian setup, Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah, in different segments of the endorsement.
Aakhir bina dekhe pata kaise chalega, #AglaHeroKaun? 😏

The entire theme of the trailer was centered around Indian ex-footballing legends, Sunil Chhetri and Bhaichung Bhutia, conjecturing who the next superstar of Indian football would be. The ad is gaining traction by the minute for its creativity as well as the assemblage of various established personalities.

Interestingly, this is not the first instance of Indian cricketers featuring in the same advertisement as footballers. Luminaries of Indian cricket, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Harbhajan Singh, and Suresh Raina featured in the same marketing clip as erstwhile icons of Chelsea Football Club, Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, and Fernando Torres, back in 2012 for Pepsi's television commercial, which rapidly ignited digital users back in the day.
