The 30-year-old cricketer hailing from the Dera Ismail Khan district in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, left his village at 18 to pursue his dreams. Now residing in Muscat, Oman, Imran balances his passion for cricket with a day job installing CCTV cameras.

Meanwhile, the 'Rawalpindi Express' had an illustrious career, which began in 1997, terrorizing batters with his express pace and lethal yorkers. He picked 178 wickets in 46 Tests, with his final Test appearance coming against India in Bangalore in 2007. In ODIs, Akhtar claimed 247 wickets, while also picking up 19 wickets in 15 T20I matches. He still holds the record of bowling bowling the fastest bowl. The historic feat came in the 2003 World Cup where he cloaked a delivery at 161.3 kmph against England's left-handed batter Nick Knight.

Since hanging up his boots, Akhtar has successfully transitioned into a role as a commentator and analyst, sharing his expertise and insights on his popular YouTube channel. He also is part of many business ventures back in Pakistan and Dubai.
