South Delhi Superstarz Priyansh Arya registered his name in Delhi Premier League (DPL) history. During a match against North Delhi Strikers at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Arya achieved the rare feat of hitting six sixes in a single over off Manan Bhardwaj's bowling and hit him for 36 runs in the 12th over of the innings.
He emulated a similar feat achieved by Yuvraj Singh during the T20 World Cup in 2007. The inaugural edition of the DPL has already produced some brilliant moments, but Arya's performance stands out. In the game against North Delhi, the southpaw smashed 88 runs off 42 deliveries, which included seven boundaries and six sixes.

Arya's explosive batting wasn't limited to just one match. He currently leads the run-scoring charts in the league with 344 runs in five innings, maintaining an average of 86.00 and a strike rate of 177.32. His closest competitor, Ayush Badoni, trails by a 100-run margin.
The young batter also became the first player to score a century in the DPL. His unbeaten 107 off just 55 balls propelled South Delhi Superstarz to a commanding 88-run victory over Purani Dilli 6. “Feels really good because the first player who scores a century in a new league is remembered forever. I am thinking of making more centuries,” Arya told as quoted by News18.
