A recently surfaced video on social media captured Bavuma donning the hat of a DJ, spinning popular tunes for his jubilant Sunrisers Eastern Cape teammates who clinched the SA20 2024 title.
The celebratory mood was palpable as Bavuma stole the spotlight with his DJ skills, adding an extra layer of entertainment to the victorious evening. Despite his limited on-field presence in the SA20 2024 campaign, Bavuma's off-field charisma resonated with his team's success.
Notably, Bavuma's sole appearance in the tournament came during a crucial clash against Paarl Royals on February 4, 2024, at St George’s Park, Gqeberha. The Sunrisers Eastern Cape were chasing a target of 160 on a challenging pitch, and Bavuma's composed innings of 33 off 30 balls played a pivotal role in securing a crucial victory for the defending champions.

"Yeah great feeling. To be in the final is a proud moment for us as a team. For the guys to rock up here tonight and play the game they did is a testament to how hard they’ve been working. Competition is tough. Anyone can beat anyone. Nice for us to get some momentum in the middle phases of the tournament. Luckily we put in a good performance today. We were incredible on the field throughout the competition," Markram said during the post-match presentation.
While Temba Bavuma's contributions on the cricket field were limited, his off-field prowess as a Disc Jockey aka DJ added a unique flavour to the celebration, showcasing the diverse talents within the Sunrisers Eastern Cape squad.
