Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) and Andre Russell paid tribute to legendary West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo in his final Caribbean Premier League (CPL) match. Bravo had announced his retirement from the CPL before the start of the 2024 season, making this match against the Guyana Amazon Warriors at the Queen's Park Oval in Port-of-Spain his last appearance in the league.
The tribute began with TKR players and staff donning Bravo's iconic number 47 jersey and forming a guard of honor as he took the field. During the match, Bravo was once again brilliant with the ball in his hand as he bowled out Keemo Paul and took a sharp catch at slip to dismiss Tim Robinson.

We're going to miss him: Andre Russell
At the innings break, he was driven around the stadium, signing balls and tossing them to adoring fans. Andre Russell, who won the Player-of-the-Match award, dedicated his performance to Bravo.
"I'm just happy to be part of this game tonight and that's the reason why so much emotion was kind of behind that celebration. We're going to miss him but I hope he is still going to be around for the rest of the tournament. But he's one we all listen to and we all look up to and you know he might shed a bit of tears tonight inside the changing room, but I appreciate him," Russell said after the match.
Bravo has won five CPL titles, including three with Trinbago, and was instrumental in building the Trinidad franchise from the ground up. His leadership led TKR to back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018, and he later captained St Kitts and Nevis Patriots to their first title in 2021.
