The Indian Cricket Team finally returned home on Thursday, July 4, after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 final against South Africa by seven runs last month. They were supposed to arrive in India a few days ago but they were stranded due to Hurricane Beryl, which has caused a lot of chaos in the Caribbean islands.

The players and their family members arrived in Delhi and were subsequently driven to ITC Maurya by a couple of luxurious buses. As they stepped out of the buses and were making their way to the hotel in Chanakyapuri, a group of enthusiastic fans greeted them with dhols for company. Hardik Pandya, who played a pivotal role in India's triumphant T20 World Cup-winning campaign, danced his heart out with the fans. Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav also couldn't resist themselves as they displayed their swift footwork on the beats of the dhol.

However, Virat Kohli decided to cheekily escape the dancing as fans focused on Hardik's sizzling performance. The former Indian captain, however, sported a smile as he was the Baroda all-rounder enjoying himself with the fans. Head coach Rahul Dravid also deboarded the bus after Kohli and the thunderous atmosphere brought a smile to his face as well.

The Men in Blue had a busy day as they met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence before travelling to Mumbai to attend a roadshow with the T20 World Cup trophy on an open-top bus, which will start from Nariman Point. Indian players are also going to be felicitated at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, where they will be conferred with prize money of INR 125 crore, as announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after their victory.
