Virat Kohli was all fired up on Day 2 of the second Test between India and Australia at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide. Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head had already put on 65 runs for the fourth wicket and India were in dire need of a wicket. The respite came in the form of Labuschagne’s dismissal and India were back in the game momentarily.
As soon as Yashasvi Jaiswal took the catch off Nitish Kumar’s bowling, Kohli, leapt away from the huddle and shushed the crowd with a finger on the lips. Marnus walked back scoring 64 runs and the Australian crowd were reminded of the usual Kohli on the field. On the other hand, Head went on to score a century as he smashed 140 off 141 balls.

Feel like the ball has been coming out well: Starc
India had a disastrous start to the Pink Ball Test as they were bundled up for just 180 runs in the first innings. The architect of their collapse was Mitchell Starc who sent Yashasvi Jaiswal packing on the very first ball of the innings. He eventually picked six wickets in the first innings. Australia scored 337 runs in their first innings and have posed a lead of 157 runs for India to surpass.
“I don't know. I can't tell. Feel like the ball has been coming out well, we did not play that bad, they played better than us in Perth. [on if he visualised getting swing first-ball to Jaiswal] Not that much to be honest. Nothing really changes game by game, was a nice start. [on the weather conditions] Certainly did not help the engine, got a bit cramped at the end,” said Starc after the first Innings.
“It [the pink ball] goes through weird patches, won't do much and then does go, day 1 you expect with a little bit of grass to do a bit, maybe with the forecast we have it dries out a bit later on but apart from the first hour when we were a bit wide we were good,” he added.
