[WATCH] 'We don't even get drinking water, what nonsense is this? - 84-year-old CSK fan slams Chepauk for 'worst arrangement'

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have had a difficult start to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, having lost three out of their first four matches. Two out of these defeats have come at their home ground - MA Chidambaram Stadium. This venue is often called CSK's fortress because of their dominance over opposition teams in previous seasons. However, things are not looking very rosy for the five-time champions this season.

CSK have one of the most passionate fanbases in the league. Their fans turn up at every game to cheer for their team. Any sport without fans is incomplete. Their efforts to egg their team on in tough times don't go unnoticed. One veteran CSK fan recently expressed his displeasure with the facilities at the MA Chidambram Stadium after watching a match at the iconic venue in IPL 2025.

"Worst arrangement here in M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. We don't even get good food here now. Last time the arrangements were very fine. And now we don't get even drinking water inside. Means you have to walk three stairs to get up. I've been watching cricket from a younger age. I'm 84 years now. I've been watching. And I've been a player in my old school days. I was a player. Cricket player, district player," the fan told cricket.com in an interview.

"I'll add it to whatever he says. We have taken a lower stand only because the old man cannot climb up. But unfortunately we have to climb two floors. What is this nonsense? What they are doing?" Another fan said.

CSK lost to Delhi Capitals at Chepauk for the first time in 15 years on Saturday, April 6. After Delhi amassed 183/6 in their 20 overs on the back of KL Rahul's solid 77 off 51 balls, the home side was restricted to 158/5. Chennai will return to action on Tuesday, April 8, when they face Punjab Kings in Mullanpur.
