WATCH: Yash Dhull completes ton with six, Tamil Nadu remain in firm control
Yash Dhull made an unbeaten 103 runs as Delhi are trailing by 410 runs after Day 3.
Delhi’s Yash Dhull completed his century with a six against Tamil Nadu at the renowned Arun Jaitley Stadium, in Delhi. The hosts were on the back foot throughout the match and Dhull’s was the only positive thing that happened to them in the game. The bowlers struggled massively in the first innings and the batters too failed to live up to the expectations, losing wickets at crucial junctions.
Openers Sanat Sangwan and Harsh Tyagi made 36 and 35 runs, respectively. While batting at number three, Dhull hit a scintillating century but other than that, the batting unit disappointed heavily. The middle order that featured Himmat Singh, Jonty Sidhu and Mayank Rawat scored a combined total of four runs, which put pressure on the hosts.
The wickets kept falling from one end but Dhull managed to keep up with the momentum and eventually built a partnership with keeper-batter Pravav, who made 40 runs. That partnership gave some stability to Delhi but didn’t help the team much. Later, Navdeep Saini made 26 runs but Delhi lacked a huge partnership which was the USP behind Tamil Nadu’s massive score of 674 runs in the first innings.

Dhull however kept going and completed his century in style. The fans in attendance gave him a standing ovation as without his contribution, Delhi could have been bundled much earlier. However, despite his century, the hosts are far away from Tamil Nadu’s massive total and are on the verge of an embarrassment.

Ankit Bawne hits century for Maharastra
Apart from captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, Maharashtra’s Ankit Bawne also scored a century in the second innings against Mumbai. After being bundled for 126 runs in the first innings, Maharashtra needed something extraordinary to make a comeback and Bawne and Gaikwad produced that. However, after their dismissals, other batters failed to step up, which put Maharastra in trouble.
