Notably, Suryakumar Yadav representing India C was sidelined ahead of the game due to an injury sustained. Yadav, who sprained his right thumb during the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament, found himself unable to participate in the first round of the Duleep Trophy.

Musheer Khan's innings came at a crucial juncture when India B was under pressure against an experienced India A attack. He had a nervy start and then single-handedly steered his team towards a respectable total, contributing more than half of the team's 202 runs by the end of the first day.

Khan's performance was awe-inspiring given the challenging conditions. The match began with overcast skies and on a green top wicket, favouring the seamers. Despite that, the batter kept putting relentless pressure on the opposition and continued to bat through the day.
