While the fans and players waited for the second T20I to commence after a delay due to the wet outfield condition, former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer entertained the masses with a hilarious post via his Twitter handle. The toss was delayed after the umpires were not satisfied with the outfield, which had soaked in a lot of rain a day before the game at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur.
Rahul Dravid, the incumbent Indian head coach, has a connection to the city of Nagpur as it happens to be the birthplace of his wife Vijeta. Vijeta's family had settled in the city after the retirement of her father. Former Indian cricketer and Dravid's ex-teammate Wasim Jaffer eluded that delays are common when someone (Dravid) visits their in-laws' place after a certain age.
Social media was in splits following the ex-opener's hilarious remark and lauded him for his sense of humor. His tweet read, "When you go to in law's place after a certain age, things don't necessarily start on time :)"

Coming to the match, after a lengthy delay in the second T20I, the umpires decided to move forward with the game. The match was reduced to eight overs per side due to the lost time with two overs of powerplay. A bowler could bowl a maximum of two overs in the rain-curtailed game.
Australia clinched a memorable victory in the first T20I in Mohali
India came into the match on the back of a disappointing loss in the series opener as the bowlers once again failed to defend a considerable total on the board. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who returned with his worst figures in T20Is, was the subject of criticism, along with Harshal Patel, following their inept performances in the death overs.
Matthew Wade once again proved his value to the team as he along with the debutant Tim David recorded a blistering stand to take Australia home from an improbable position. The defending champions look like a formidable opposition even though they are missing some key players like David Warner, Mitchell Starc, and Marcus Stoinis among others.
