The 27th match of the 2025 IPL between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) is currently underway at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bat first, a decision that paid off handsomely. The PBKS batters put on a sensational show, piling up a mammoth total of 245 runs in their 20 overs.

Chasing a daunting target, SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma came out all guns blazing. They smashed the PBKS bowlers to all parts of the ground, racing to 76 runs in just five overs.

To bowl the final over of the powerplay, Kiwi pacer Lockie Ferguson was brought into the attack. However, after delivering just two balls, Ferguson appeared to be in discomfort. He clutched his left quadriceps during his run-up and began limping, clearly unable to continue. The physio rushed onto the field to assess the situation. Ultimately, Ferguson had to walk off the field, and Marcus Stoinis completed the remainder of the over.

On the other hand, the Sunrisers Hyderabad openers, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma have gone mad as they smashed 171 in 12.2 overs, right when Travis Head lost his wicket and had to walk back to the pavilion. Head smashed 66 runs off 37 balls, whereas Abhishek Sharma smashed a 40-ball century.
