'Why lie about me?' – Parthiv Patel slams fan for fake Rohit Sharma quote
A fake quote on Rohit Sharma from the GT vs MI match has gone viral, prompting Parthiv Patel to call out the misinformation.
Gujarat Titans' (GT) assistant batting coach, Parthiv Patel, slammed a fan for spreading fake news about him regarding a quote on Rohit Sharma. The fabricated quote claimed that Parthiv made a cheeky comment about MI and Rohit.
As per the claim, the former Indian cricketer made the claimed remarks during a mid-innings interview with commentators during the GT versus MI IPL 2025 (Indian Premier League) game. However, the coach shut down the false claim by reposting the user's post.
"Come on, guys. I've got some great collabs and content if you want impressions. Why lie about me?" This isn't the first time something like this has happened in the cricket world," Patel wrote on his 'X' handle.
