It doesn't happen often that a modern-day batting great like Virat Kohli is rested for an international. And seeing Kohli as a water boy is a very rare sight. One such unusual occurrence happened during the second One-Day International between West Indies and India on Saturday, July 29 at Barbados, when Kohli and regular skipper Rohit Sharma were rested.
The game also witnessed Kohli coming into the field as a water boy alongside Yuzvendra Chahal, the spinner who still waits for a chance to make an impact in the game.

Speaking of the game, India suffered a terrible defeat as West Indies leveled the series 1-1. Having won the first ODI, the Men in Blue were not able to carry the momentum into the next game, as their playing XI emperiment backfired. Resting Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli and making changes in the XI led to India eventually losing the match.
Batting first, India could manage to score mere 181 runs as the Windies bowlers dished them out cheaply. Hardik Pandya was given the captaincy duties in Rohit's absence, but things kept falling out of place. During the chase, the West Indies batters put up a remarkable show. After a decent start by the openers, skipper Shai Hope and Keacy Carty's unbeaten knocks helped the home side get over the line.
The series now stands at 1-1, with the third and final ODI being a do-or-die match for both sides. While the hosts will be aiming to perform similarly in the forthcoming contest, the visitors will need to put forth the right combination in order to win the match.
