Skipper Healy has featured in six Tests thus far and scored 236 runs at an average of 23.60. The wicketkeeper-batter, leading her first Test match, will look to come all guns blazing and help her side clinch the Ashes.
Speaking about the match, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. The Aussies will be raring to put on a solid total at the close of Day 1 to stay one step ahead of the English side in the solitary Test. Following the conclusion of the one-off Test, the two teams will contest in three T20Is and as many ODI matches from Saturday, July 1 to Tuesday, July 18.
Meanwhile, Starc did not play in Australia’s dramatic win in the recently concluded first Ashes Test at the Edgbaston. The pacer last donned the whites in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against team India at The Oval in London. The 33-year-old pacer racked up a match haul of four wickets against the Rohit Sharma-led side which helped the Aussies clinch the coveted mace. Australia became the first nation in the history of world cricket to win all ICC titles across the three formats.
