Australia and Pakistan are locking horns in the tenth warm-up fixture of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Tuesday, October 03 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Australian captain Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bat first and the decision was vindicated by his team who posted a massive score of 351/7 in their allotted 50 overs.
However, during the first innings of the match, a hilarious fielding effort by Mohamamad Wasim Jr and Mohammad Nawaz left everyone in splits. The incident took place in the 23rd over as Marnus Labuschagne worked a delivery from Haris Rauf towards the leg side. Wasim and Nawaz, who were fielding deep on the leg side, began chasing the ball from opposite directions and were almost about to collide.
Hence, the duo gave up the chase thinking that the other might field the ball. However, the ball ended up going through their legs and reached the fence. The hilarious moment left everyone present at the stadium in splits. India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan also shared the video on his X account with the caption, βPakistan & fielding never-ending love story π₯°ππ#PakistanFielding #PakCricket.β
