'Worst waste of time is arguing with fool and fanatic who does not care about truth' - Naveen-ul-Haq posts cryptic video on Instagram
Naveen-ul-Haq has been posting cryptic stories on his social media handles post IPL 2023.
Afghanistan and Lucknow Super Giants' (LSG) pacer Naveen-ul-Haq became a topic of discussion during the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL), albeit for the wrong reasons, after an on-field confrontation with Virat Kohli during his side’s match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
During the IPL 2023 match, Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq got into an altercation, in which LSG coach and former India batter Gautam Gambhir also got involved. Notably, all three of them were fined for violating the IPL code of conduct. However, the Afghanistan pacer later blamed Kohli for starting the scuffle while explaining what happened at the customary post-match handshakes.
A month after the lucrative league, the young bowler took to his official Instagram handle and posted a cryptic message, along with a video that narrates the story, ‘The donkey and the tiger.’
"The worst waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who does not care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions. There are people who no matter how much evidence we present to them, are not in the capacity to understand, and others are blinded by ego, hatred, and resentment, and all they want is to be right even if they are not," the message read.
Moreover, the dispute with the former India captain was not the first time the Afghanistan pacer got into a verbal spat. The 23-year-old has previously had on-field spats with Mohammad Amir and former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi on the pitch.
