After the five franchises built their squads for the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League starting on March 4, the preparations for the premier women’s T20 competition are in full swing as Mumbai Indians started their training camp on Saturday, February 25.

The team started its first-ever practice session under the supervision of the support team, headed by head coach Charlotte Edwards. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur will join the squad soon following India’s exit from the Women’s T20 World Cup 2023. Edwards was elated to meet the entire squad and see them in action in the nets.

“It’s been brilliant. It’s been great to get the team out here. Obviously, our own venue and to see the players, it’s been brilliant for me. Heard a lot about these players and to finally get them into the nets and watch them in action it’s been fantastic," Edwards said in a release.
