Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan met the squads of Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) prior to the opening clash between both sides in the second edition of the Women's Premier League (WPL) on Friday, February 23. Notably, he is scheduled to perform during the star-studded opening ceremony, which will also feature appearances by Tiger Shroff, Varun Dhawan, Shahid Kapoor, and Kartik Aaryan, among other Bollywood celebrities.

'King Khan' met players, including MI skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, DC vice-captain Jemimah Rodrigues, and DC captain Meg Lanning. Mumbai Indians to play Delhi Capitals in WPL 2024 opener in Bengaluru

Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals will square off in the curtain-raiser of the 2024 Women's Premier League (WPL). The high-octane tournament opener is scheduled to be played on February 23 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Meg Lanning and Co. would be hoping to get over the disappointment of losing to Mumbai in the finals last year and win the championship, thus their opening match may be the ideal way to start the competition. Given that they are the reigning champions, MI will likely pose a bigger challenge in the opening game.
