While all eyes are glued on the IPL 2023 final between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, several senior Indian cricketers have arrived in England for the World Test Championship final against Australia, commencing on June 7. Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli also joined the training session at the Arundel Castle Cricket Club.

Team India are all set to engage in a titanic battle with the no.1 ranked Test side in the world, Australia, in the WTC final at the Oval in a bid to establish themselves at the summit of red-ball cricket. While several key members of the Indian side are still to join the national team due to their commitments with their respective IPL franchises, former Indian skipper Virat Kohli has landed in England for the much-anticipated clash.

Veteran Indian pacer Umesh Yadav and all-rounder Shardul Thakur were part of the first batch of players to land in England. Apart from Kohli, middle-order bulwark Cheteshwar Pujara, who enjoyed a prolific stint in county cricket, also joined the Indian team. Indian fast bowling sensation Mohammed Siraj, who enjoyed a terrific run in the 16th edition of IPL, was also seen in Indian colours.

Veteran Indian offspinner Ravichandran Ashwin was also seen in Indian training kits, trying his hand in the nets during the training session. It was reported earlier that the Asian side will have their full-strength squad available for their preparations after June 1, following the conclusion of IPL 2023.

Rohit Sharma's men will look to redeem themselves at the Oval after losing last edition's final against Kane Williamson's New Zealand, prolonging their ICC trophy drought.
