Not many would have expected Bangladesh to go to Pakistan and hand them a whitewash on their own terrain, especially considering the lack of practice they underwent ahead of the series. However, it was the visitors who proved everyone wrong and against all odds, ended up as victors to come out with a 2-0 series triumph.

Former Pakistani cricketer, Ahmed Shehzad, recently put out a 94-second video on his official X account, in which he very aptly praised Bangladesh for their outings in both the Tests while also criticizing Pakistan for putting on an embarrasing show.

"Bangladesh ne Pakistan ko unke hi backyard mein whitewash kar daala. Tumhe aata hi nahi hai, tumse hota hi nahi hai. Woh aaye hai, apni practices bhi unhone aapke ghar pe ki hai. Unke mulq he haalaat bhi, you know, itne achhe nahi the. Pyaar-pyaar se aake unhone aapko whitewash kardiya (Bangladesh has whitewashed Pakistan in their own home conditions. You don't know how to play, you're not capable enough to play [directed towards the Pakistani team]. All their practice sessions have also been conducted after they arrived in Pakistan. The condition their country was in at that moment of time was also not that good. They have come to Pakistan and have outplayed you without breaking a sweat)," stated Shehzad in the video.

Shehzad also went on to compliment the all-round display by the entire Bangladeshi unit, as well as the outstanding spell of fast-bowling which was produced by Nahid Rana. He also highlighted the fact that instead of trying to execute and mend their strategies, Pakistan were busy putting the blame on the nature of the track while it was Bangladesh who made hay while the sun shone.

"Aur kya woh cricket khele hai, kya unhone dominate kiya hai throughout, kis tarah ki unhone batting ki hai, kis tarah ki unhone bowling ki hai, Rana zabardast bowling. Unke batters ne, you know jo grit jo chahiye tha Test cricket mein, woh aapko sikhaaya hai, bataaya hai kaise kheli jaati hai cricket. Unke bowlers ne aapko bataaya hai ki disciplined bowling kya hoti hai, aur aap yahi kehte reh gaye ki pitch aesa nahi hona chahiye (the manner in which they played their cricket, the way they dominated, the approach with which they batted, the style in which they bowled, Rana bowled really well. Their batters have displayed the unwavering spirit one requires to succeed in Test cricket. Their bowlers have demonstrated the channels in which one should bowl, and all you were left is blaming the pitch)."

"Haalaki uss hi pitch pe jo hai na Bangladeshi batters jo khel rahe the, woh flat track lagta tha. Jab aap khelte the toh aapke batters neeche utar rahe the uss Rana fast bowler se unke (However, the Bangladeshi batters made the track look like a road whenever they got the opportunity to bat. Whenever your (Pakistani) batters would get an opportunity to bat, they would prefer coming down the order against Nahid Rana)," added Shehzad.

The former Pakistani top-order batter also went on to congratulate Bangladesh and opined that their fans who had come to support them in Pakistan as well as those supporting them from elsewhere would have taken the victory as a huge morale booster.
