Virat Kohli has been a regular in capturing headlines with his various sponsorship deals, exceptional knocks, and viral moments on the field. However, the 34-year-old has recently taken a liking to posting motivational quotes on his Instagram story.

Ever since the final of the World Test Championship, where India lost to Australia, Kohli has been regularly posting motivational quotes on his Instagram story. The 34-year-old recently shared yet another quote from his story, which focused on comparisons.

The quote on Kohli’s story was from J Krishnamurti from the book 'Freedom From The Know'. Where it talked about comparing oneself with another and how one should not compare themselves with others as it gives the other person tremendous power.

"If you do not compare yourself with another, you will be what you are. Through comparison, you hope to evolve, to grow, to become more intelligent, more beautiful. But will you? The fact is what you are, and by comparing you are fragmenting the fact which is a waste of energy. To see what actually you are without any comparison gives you tremendous energy to look," the quote read.

Virat Kohli could be key for India in upcoming West Indies tour

For India’s next assignment, the side will be taking on the West Indies in a multi-format series that is scheduled to begin on July 12. It is worth noting that both teams will face each other in two Test matches, three ODIs, and will finish the series with five T20I matches.

As the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) announced the Test and white ball squad for the series, the squad featured many big names like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and many more. Indian would be keen on reciprocating from their recent heartbreaking loss in the final of the World Test Championship when they lost to Pat Cummins-led Australia.
