Team India qualified for the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in some fashion as they struck a massive win against Zimbabwe by 71 runs. Sublime performances from KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav guided the Men in Blue to a mammoth total of 186 in their 20 overs before the Indian bowlers restricted their opponents well short.
However, Suryakumar Yadav’s performances in recent times has made the headlines for all good reasons and this time he grabbed the attention of the legendary AB de Villiers. The former South Africa skipper heaped ultimate praise on Yadav for his performance against Zimbabwe as he scored 61* runs off just 25 balls, including a few shots similar de Villiers' style.

Earlier, Suryakumar had reacted his comparison with de Villiers and after being branded the new-age 360-degree player. In response to the reports. “There is only one 360 degree player in the world and I will try to play like him,” the India batter had said.

Team India cruise into the semi-finals
Rohit Sharma and Co. put up a majestic performance against the Zimbabweans both with the bat and ball and crushed the latter by 71 runs. While the batters are slowly picking up form and the bowlers delivering consistently, the side is slowly appearing to be lethal ahead of the semi-final stage of the showpiece event.
India are set to lock horns with Jos Buttler’s England in the forthcoming semi-final contest scheduled to be played on Thursday, November 10 at the Adelaide Oval. Four teams will now fight it out for the coveted title as they are all closer than ever to clinching the trophy.
