Veteran Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza recently took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and established his loyalty to Zimbabwe Cricket. Born in Pakistan, the 38-year-old has represented Zimbabwe all his life. He shifted to the country with his parents and has worked hard to become one of the best players in white-ball cricket.
Recently, he conducted a Q&A session on social media, and a user asked him if he would ever consider playing for Pakistan, as it would solve the side’s issues in the middle order if he started playing for them.
However, Raza was quick to establish his loyalty to Zimbabwe; he revealed that he was only born in the Asian country but has always been a product of Zimbabwe cricket and how he was going to repay the side’s faith in him by staying faithful to the Chevrons.
“I am a born Pakistani and a product of Zimbabwe Cricket. I will only and ever represent Zimbabwe. They spent time and money on me, and I am only trying to repay their faith, and whatever I achieve will never even get close to repaying it. Zim is mine and am theirs fully,” Sikandar Raza responded to the fan on X.

Zimbabwe set for next assignment against Pakistan
Speaking of Zimbabwe’s on-field assignments, the side will be taking on a touring Pakistan side in a white-ball series in the latter stages of November 2024. Both sides will lock horns across three ODIs and three T20Is. The first ODI will be held on November 24, with the first T20I scheduled for December 1.
Taking on Pakistan, Zimbabwe will hope for a good performance. The side recently managed to defeat India in one of the three T20Is that both sides faced off in, and the clashes against the Men in Green could be no different.
