Yuvraj Singh and Rohit Sharma have been good friends ever since the latter first burst onto the scene at the highest level in 2007. The duo has been an integral part of India’s triumphs including the T20 World Cup 2007, the Commonwealth Bank tri-series in Australia in the 2007/08 season to name a few.

Lately, the southpaw has come forward and whole-heartedly backed Rohit who has not had the best of IPL 2022 either with the bat or as captain. As a result, Mumbai Indians became the very first team to be knocked out of the playoff race. MI lost their first eight games despite trying all the possible combinations.

Nonetheless, Yuvraj has come forward and motivated the ‘Hitman’ by saying that something big is in store for him going ahead.

Taking to the micro-blogging site, the two-time World Cup winner wrote, “Hitman !! Is having some bad luck @ImRo45something big is coming !!!stay in a good space”

The Mumbai batter has so far amassed 200 runs from 11 matches averaging 18.18 and a strike rate of exactly 125. He has not even managed a half-century with his highest score being 43. While Rohit did get off to good starts on a few occasions, he could not convert them into big knocks.

With the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup coming up later in the year, the passionate Indian cricket fans would be hoping that Rohit roars back to form just in time. Meanwhile, the 35-year-old was dismissed in a controversial manner in the last game against the Kolkata Knight Riders. After he was caught behind by Sheldon Jackson of Tim Southee. KKR took the review and ultra edge showed a clear spike as a result of which the on-field umpire had to reverse his decision to out.

Meanwhile, Rohit was really dejected with the umpire’s decision as he reckoned that the ball had made absolutely no contact with the bat but, he had no choice but to walk back to the dugout for two.
