Veteran Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle gave the cricketing world a great scare on Thursday (March 24) as he fell midway during an Instagram live session. The 60-year-old was having a conversation before the session came to a halt abruptly. The popular cricket presenter was heard saying “Kya hua? Kaun hai? Kaha se aa gaye? (What happened! Who are you? Where did you come from?” before he seemingly fell down.
Needless to mention, this incident took the cricket world by storm as fans got worried about Bhogle’s health conditions. Even the anchor also taken aback by his sudden exit. However, it was later known that his disappearing was preplanned. Bhogle took to Twitter later in the day and issued a clarification. He informed everyone that he is fine and appologised fans for getting them worried.
It became more viral than I anticipated: He added
“I am fine. Sorry to have got a lot of you worried. Thank you for the love and concern. It became more viral than I anticipated. That too is a learning. It was meant to lead to something else. Sorry. And cheers,” he wrote on Twitter.
Bhogle further stated that he is “embarrassed” about it as he didn’t expect such outcome of his actions. “You learn something new every day. It seemed a lighthearted thing to do but in its execution, it became something that I didn’t think it would. I am actually a bit embarrassed now,” he added.

Bhogle’s wife Ankita later confirmed that the commentator’s abrupt exit was for a promo. “Folks, just clarifying that all is well with @bhogleharsha . It was a promo that went viral and unfortunately got everyone worried. Thanks for the love and concern,” she tweeted.

Meanwhile, Bhogle would be occupied in the coming days with the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 being around the corner. Hailed as the ‘Voice of Cricket,’ Bhogle is a part of the star-studded commentary panel and his remarks with the microphone in hand are set to entertain the fans.
