Sourav Ganguly surprises his 'little-big superstar' on her birthday

Former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly has been one of India’s greatest captains. He led from the front and was never down in intensity and his records are for everyone to see. Apart from his glorious cricketing career, his personal life has been full of excitement. He is currently married to Dona Ganguly, previously Roy, ever since February 1, 1997.

However, previously both of them tied the knots in a registration marriage. After their return, they didn’t reveal their wedding. When Dona’s parents came to know about it, they became furious but accepted them with time. Later the couple again pledged ones troth in a formal wedding. On November 3, 2001, the duo gave birth to their daughter and named her Sana Ganguly.

Sana turns 17

She studied from La-martiniere for Girls and then went to Loreto House, a place where her mother had also studied. She is also a brilliant dance and has been plying her trade in the art ever since she was seven years old. She debuted in the dance drama Krishna where she played the role of young Krishna.

Ganguly previously said that she would encourage her daughter to take up a career of her choice. Even in many interviews, Dada went on to say that ‘Sana’ is one of the biggest gifts God has given him. She has also featured in ‘Dadagiri’, a popular television quiz show, hosted by Sourav Ganguly himself.

Sana is also good friends with Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara. Sourav and Sachin were one of the deadliest opening stands, the cricketing world has ever been a witness to. In the meantime, Sana has turned 17 today and her father is cock-a-hoop on the occasion.

He uploaded a picture of her daughter to express his delight. Moreover, he captioned the picture and wrote, “Happy birthday to the little-big superstar.. u rule,”
