The second Test of India’s tour of South Africa in 2010 was their second Test victory in the African country. The cricket game was also Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s fourth Test victory as the skipper. Dale Steyn’s six-wicket haul bowled India out cheaply for 205 runs in the first innings.

However, they ran through the South African batting lineup and dismissed them for 131 runs. Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan nipped out four and three wickets respectively. Nevertheless, India stumbled to 228 runs out of which Laxman contributed 96 runs.

Chasing 215 runs, Graeme Smith and Alviro Peterson began with a stand of 63. However, wickets at regular intervals pushed them back into a position from where they never recovered. Consequently, they lost by 87 runs. Zaheer Khan and Sreesanth picked up three wickets each while Harbhajan bagged a couple.
