The battles lines have been drawn to kick-start 2018 in a grandiose way, as India and South Africa lock horns in what promises to be a cracker. The Indian tour will begin with the Test series on 5th January. The Indian side under the leadership of Virat Kohli has already landed in South Africa and their training sessions have already kick-started.

Kohli and co spent an awful lot of time in the nets on Saturday and burned their lungs as much as they could. This is certainly the biggest challenge Kohli had to combat in his short-little stint as the Indian skipper. Whilst many fans reckon this is an Indian side capable or re-writing the history books, the experts keep reminding them of what transpired on previous tours.

An unexpected challenge from an unexpected source

As Kohli and his troops prepare for this big challenge, an unexpected challenged has been thrown to the Indian skipper from an unexpected source. The South African Tourism, who are delighted with India’s visit to the Rainbow nation, has urged the team to try out the very famous Shark-Cage challenge.

Situated in Hermanus, around 120 kilometers away from Cape Town (Where the Indian team is practicing), the place has over 300 activities to entertain the visitors. Of all the activities, the Shark-Cage challenge is something that has attracted a lot of people over the course of time.

Just moments after the South African Tourism’s official Twitter handle posted the challenge, Cricket South Africa re-tweeted the same.

“Hey Virat Kohli we’re looking forward to some nail-biting Cricket. Before the on-field action begins, how about some off-beat adventure with the team! Come, seek the adrenaline rush of shark-cage diving in Hermanus. Are the men in blue up for the challenge,” read the Tweet. It’ll be interesting to see if the 29-year-old responds to their challenge, but he is likely to decline it considering all the hype and pressure that is surrounding the series.
