Spartan Sports Management looking forward to the Corporate Cup 2016

With a view to promote the game of cricket in Corporate based on the audiences in order to increase participation of Corporates in cricket, to impart the element of sports in employees to understand the role of sports in the work-life balance and to provide an opportunity to the Corporates to encourage sports for their employees as a part of CSR activity of the organization. A BCCI international scorer and an entrepreneur, Mrs. Sejal Dave Mehta who is one of two female scorers of BCCI wanted to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship among corporate organizations by managing sports event across western regions of India and therefore, she initiated Spartan Sports Management in October 2015 which is founded by her husband Mr. Nishant Mehta who is the CEO (from November 2014) and Mr. Alex Daniel who is the COO of Spartan Sports Management.

Talking about the objective of his initiative the CEO said, “Corporate Sports Management was the first and basic objective behind setting up such an organization. Looking towards the scenario of corporates especially in Gujarat where corporate employees do not get an opportunity to play and get released from stress.”

The idea came into the mind of the CEO of Spartan Sports Management through his personal experiences in life. He further added that “I was always wanted to be sports professional but due to responsibilities and financial position I had to study to get into a better position to fulfill responsibilities towards family. There are many people who have to choose between a secure career and sports and at the end, they ended up with choosing a secure career through studies. Spartan Sports Management strives to provide opportunities and platform to such individuals who could not make sports as a career.”

To promote sports in Corporate World, Spartan Sports Management is coming up with a Corporate Cricket Tournament for the Corporates of the state of Gujarat. The event will be officiated by BCCI officials and officials from local cricket association. Corporate Cup 2016 is the second edition of Corporate Cup. The first Corporate Cup was organized between 17th Feb 2015 to 21st Feb 2015 by Spartan Sports Management. A unique aspect of this event is that it is played with the Pink ball. Spartan Sports Management is the first Organization who used Pink Season ball in India for a Corporate cricket tournament last year in 2015.

The upcoming event will be held in the month of May and for this Spartan Sports Management invites all corporate identity to participate in this unique event and promote sports in the corporate world.
