Despite being the favorites to win the game, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their second match of IPL 2021 against Royal Challengers Bangalore by six runs. The defeat came as a disappointment for many Hyderabad fans as they couldn’t help but scratch their heads seeing the poor performance of the Orange Army towards the end of the match.

SRH CEO Kaviya Maran mirrored the emotions of the franchise fans as she could be seen giving disappointed expressions while watching the game live. In one of the viral pictures, Kaviya is also seen crying after the terrible collapse of the Orange Army.  Many Twitter users shared pictures of the CEO getting emotional saying that they can totally relate to her feelings.

RCB scripts a brilliant turnaround

The match between SRH and RCB commenced with David Warner winning the toss and electing to field first. Put to bat, RCB could manage just 149 runs on the board as they struggled to get going in the second half of their batting innings. Glenn Maxwell emerged as the highest run-getter for Challengers with his knock of 59 runs off 41 deliveries including five boundaries and three maximums.

For SRH, Jason Holder was the pick of the bowler with three wickets while Rashid Khan also had two under his belt.

Chasing 150, SRH got off to an explosive start as the skipper David Warner led from the front. Warner played a blistering knock of 54 runs off just 37 balls at a strike rate of 145.95. However, his dismissal proved to be the turning point of the game as it initiated a collapse of the batting line-up. Despite the few hiccups in the middle-order, Hyderabad could have easily won the game as Manish Pandey was settled in the middle with 38 runs off 39 balls.

However, Shahbaz Ahmed delivered a stunning performance in the 17th over as he took three wickets, including the likes of Jonny Bairstow, Pandey, and Abdul Samad. After that, there was no looking back for RCB as Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel also produced good spells in the death over to help the Men in Red and Gold win the game by six runs.
