Team India taking on Sri Lanka in ODIs is probably the only battle which often makes people feel repetitive as the fans on either side complain a lot about the over dosage of matches between the two sides. During the most recent ODI meeting in the Champions Trophy, India and Sri Lanka became the first sides to play each other in 150 ODIs. However, half of those have been played in the last 13-14 years itself.

The last instance of Sri Lanka winning an ODI series against India was way back in 1997 and the Men in Blue won 7 out of 8 series played in the last 15 years with the other series abandoned due to rain as none of the games in the series could attain a result.
