When coming to the bilateral series, India have a clear upper hand against Sri Lanka by winning 11 out of the 16 series while three of them ended in a draw. The last instance of Sri Lanka winning an ODI series against India was way back in 1997 and the Men in Blue won 7 out of 8 series played in the last 15 years with the other series abandoned due to rain as none of the games in the series could attain a result.
