Sri Lanka v Pakistan 2nd T20I – 5 talking points: On 1^st August, Colombo witnessed the final hammering on the nail as Pakistan locked horns with Sri Lanka for one final time in the 2^nd and last T20I match of the series. The Sri Lankan’s did everything which they could have to deflate the triumphant Pakistani side but Pakistan inflicted a T20I series whitewash over Sri Lanka. The match was set-up by the blistering knock of Shahid Afridi but it was the heroics of Anwar Ali which routed out the Sri Lankan’s from the match as Pakistan won the match by 1 wicket in the final over.

1. Heroics of Anwar Ali:

Although, Anwar Ali had a horrendous time with the ball in hand but he more than made up for it with a breath-taking 17 ball 46 run knock which transpired Pakistan to their first ever 1-wicket glory in T20I cricket. When Ali arrived at the crease, the Pakistan team was tottering at 107-7 which shattered the hopes of millions of Pakistani’s back home. But, Ali’s brute innings led his team to a victory from the jaws of defeat. He blasted 4 sixes and 3 fours en route of his knock which came at a strike-rate of 270.
