Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh, 1st ODI: Dream11 Fantasy Cricket Tips – Playing XI, Pitch Report & Injury Update
Lasith Malinga is set to retire after this match and Sri Lanka will hope to give him a winning farewell.
The first ODI bilateral series post the World Cup will get underway on Thursday with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh locking horns in the first of the three-match ODI series. Both the sides didn’t have a decent outing in the mega event with the Islanders finishing at the sixth place while the Tigers ended up at the eighth position. Bangladesh though played some attractive cricket thanks to their talisman Shakib Al Hasan. They will miss him in this series and also their skipper Mashrafe Mortaza who has been ruled out due to injury.
Tamim Iqbal has been handed over the captaincy and it remains to be seen if the veteran carries the team on his shoulders properly. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, has made significant changes to the World Cup squad. However, they have kept the faith in Dimuth Karunaratne as the skipper who was impressive in his stint at the helm. His team defeated the eventual World Champions England and would want to take confidence from those heroics going into this series.
Match Details:
The first ODI of the three-match series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be played at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The match starts at 2:30 PM local time (2:30 PM IST) (9:00 AM GMT). This game will be live on Sony Six in India. Live streaming will be available on Sony LIV.
Pitch Condition/Report:
Premadasa stadium hosted an ODI almost nine months ago and this is a start of a new home season for Sri Lanka. The surface should be a decent one to bat on and as usual in the Island nation, the pitch will definitely help the spinners as the match progresses. The team winning the toss will look to bat first and put runs on the board.
