After the blow to the Lankan bowling line up, with Nuwan Pradeep pulling his hamstring in the evening yesterday, the onus was then on Rangana Herath and his toothless spin attack featuring Pushpakumara, Dhananjaya de Silva, and Dilruwan Perera.

Debutant Pushpakumara continued to deliver boundary balls every over to make matters worse for his side. Even though he picked up a couple of wickets in the innings, he went for an economy of over 4. Herath managed to hold his end up somehow and picked up four wickets by bowling 42 overs in the innings.
