Sri Lanka will take on South Africa in the 2-match Test series at home starting 12th July which will be Proteas’ first International assignment since AB de Villiers and Morne Morkel’s retirement. Sri Lankans are still finding it tough to make an impact in International cricket since the exit of their seniors while the Saffers are fresh from their thumping win over Australia back home. They are boosted by the return of Dale Steyn who is a great addition to an already strong pace attack.

972 – Runs Dilruwan Perera has scored in his Test career so far. He needs 28 more runs to become the 4th Sri Lankan to complete the double of 1000 runs and 100 wickets in Test cricket.
1997 – Kusal Mendis needs three more runs to complete 2000 runs in Test cricket. The Sri Lankan captain Dinesh Chandimal (7813) needs 187 runs to become the 11th Sri Lankan to score 8000 International runs.
4956 – Runs Angelo Mathews has scored in the Test cricket thus far. He needs 44 more runs to become the 9th player to score 5000 Test runs for Sri Lanka.
8982 – Hashim Amla has scored 8982 runs in his Test career so far. He needs 18 more runs to become the 3rd South African to score 9000 runs in this format.
