India and Pakistan have been arch rivals for many a decade now, be it on the field or off it. The two nation have been engaged in many political, military and diplomatic battles for ages. When it comes to playing cricket too, there’s no love lost between the two nations.
Flashback
The two neighbouring nations have locked horns in some of the most riveting contests in the past few years. Though they do not play each other in bilateral series anymore due to security or diplomatic issues, the intensity has only amplified when the two nations meet each other at any multilateral event.
Indians have had the better off Pakistan in all the past World Cup events. Most recently, India won against Pakistan in the World T20 2016 in a group fixture at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. They also defeated their arch rivals in the World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand back in 2015.
However, when it comes to the Champions Trophy, Pakistan have had the better off India based on records. The Men in Green defeated India in England back in 2004, as well as in South Africa in 2009.
Back to the present
Looking at the cracking contest we have on our hands in the upcoming Champions Trophy in England on June 4, Star Sports released a hilarious promotional video for the high-octane event. A well to do businessman can be seen giving up on all the materialistic assets in life to gain salvation. He gives up his cars, company and all the other valuables to take up Buddhism.
However, it all changed after the India vs Pakistan poster flashed before his eyes. He instantaneously had an epiphany that he is not quite ready to give up all the ‘Mohs’ and ‘Mayas’ of life and elopes out of the situation.
Star Sports took to Twitter to post the video by captioning “you can give up all, but you can’t give up on watching #INDvPAK! Fall prey to this #SabseBadaMoh, on Star Sports! #ChampionsKaWorldCup”
