The 2nd round Ranji Trophy game between Maharastra and Delhi at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai was a statistician’s delight. After record tumbling partnership in first two days from Maharashtra’s Gugale and Bawane, Delhi’s Rishabh Pant set a few records on the final day with a triple century. Here were look at the numbers recorded during the final day.

2 – Maharastra vs Delhi game is only the 2nd first-class game in which two different players scored triple centuries. Tamil Nadu vs Goa game in 1988/89 in Ranji was the first one.

2 – Rishabh Pant is only the 2nd player to score a triple century in Ranji Trophy as wicketkeeper. KS Bharat of Andhra was the first to do in 2014/15.

3 – For the first time in Ranji Trophy, 3 players scored 250+ in a game. Gugale, Ankeet Bawane and Pant scored 250+ in this game.

7 – Rishabh is now the 7th player to score a triple century in first-class cricket as wicketkeeper. He is the 2nd Indian after KS Bharat.

19y 12d – He became the 4th youngest batsman to score a triple century in first-class cricket. Javed Miandad (17y 310d), Wasim Jaffer (18y 262d) and Abhinav Mukund (18y 302d) were younger than Rishabh when they scored an FC triple.

20y 16d – Youngest keeper before Rishabh Pant to score a triple ton in first-class cricket was Clyde Walcott in 1945/46 for Barbados at an age of 20 years and 16 days.

222 – Runs scored in boundaries by Rishabh, the 3rd most runs scored by a player in an innings in Ranji Trophy. Sanjay Manjrekar scored 230 in 1990/91 vs Hyderabad while Kedar Jadhav hit 228 runs in boundaries against UP in 2012/2013.

308 – His 308 is the 2nd highest individual score for a Delhi player in first-class cricket. Raman Lamba’s 312 vs Himachal in 1994/95 is the highest.

308 – Pant’s 308 is also the 2nd highest individual score by any player against Maharashtra in first-class cricket. Vijay Merchant’s 359* for Mumbai in 1943/44 is the highest against them.

106.92 – Average runs scored for every wicket in this game. It is the 6th best in a Ranji Trophy game were 1000+ have been scored.
