Stats: Australia's 900 ODIs in numbers
Australia has played against 18 teams in the ODI format including the ICC World XI in 2005 Super Series.
A consistent rain during the 2nd innings spoiled Australia’s milestone match as their Champions Trophy game against Bangladesh ended in a washout as only 16 overs of Australian innings could be bowled where 20 overs were required for a result.
Chasing an 183-run target, Australia were very much towards winning the game as they were 81/1 after 16 overs, 42 runs ahead of the par score but the rain didn’t allow the play to continue for 4 more overs. As a result, the 900th One-day International game of Australia ended without a result.
Australia, who were lucky to have escaped with one point against New Zealand, were robbed off the same against Bangladesh. By featuring against the Asian side, they became the 2nd team after India to play 900 ODI matches. India played their 900th ODI last year and have featured in 908 matches in this format so far.
