Stats: Batsmen with the highest individual scores in Youth ODIs

Topping the leaderboard among the batsmen with the highest individual scores is Sri Lanka’s Hasitha Boyagoda. The 19-year-old scored a 191 in the ongoing U19 World Cup. With the feat, he also helped the Islanders crush Kenya by 311 runs, the joint-second biggest winning margin in Under 19 ODI history

Interestingly, Boyagoda’s innings comes just 6 days after New Zealand’s Jakob Bhula scripted history by registering the highest ever score of U19 cricket with a mesmerizing 180 against the same opponents.

A member of the current India U19 World Cup team and one of the country’s most exciting prospects, Shubman Gill occupies the last spot in the table. Born just before the turn of the millennium, Gill’s score of 160 during their tour to England last year puts him in the 10th spot.

Gill, who has a reputation for his fluid gameplay and boasts of a rich repertoire of strokes averages at over 100, precisely a scintillating 103.91 from the last 12 innings that he played. With such statistics, he transcends the likes of Don Bradman who owns the record books with the highest ever average of 99.94 in international cricket.
